John joined the CFR office in Oklahoma City in 1993, and works with a broad range of customers specializing in serving clients in the energy, financial institution and commercial real estate industries.

Before joining CFR, John had an extensive background in banking and finance.  After obtaining both his B.S. and MBA degrees from the University of Kansas, he joined the Bank of Oklahoma in 1975 where he became Vice President in the Energy Lending Department.

From 1983 to 1988, he was Vice President of Finance & Administration and a Director of Quarles Drilling Corporation and INDREX, Inc.  His responsibilities included the firm’s accounting, tax, payroll, personnel, data processing, and insurance departments.

From 1988 to 1993, John was Senior Vice President of Energy and Commercial Real Estate for First Interstate Bank of Oklahoma/Boatmen’s First National Bank.  He was responsible for managing the bank’s oil and gas, commercial real estate, residential real estate construction, and retail/ commercial lending activities.
